The file contains correspondences regarding the expert selection for the Bern trial in 1934. In 1934 Fleischhauer was appointed as a replacement of Pastor a. D. Ludwig Münchmeyer, an antisemite, first nominated by the defendants, but not traceable by German mail in Oldenburg/Germany when his nomination was sent to him by judge Walter Meyer. In other letters Meyer informed the selected experts that their report of expertise had to be handled in till the 15th of October 1934. He also explains the circumstance of the trial and how the expertises had to be written. He gave 5 questions which had to be answered in the expertise: Was the Protocols of the Elders of Zion a forgery? Was it plagiarized? If it was, what was its source? What is the relationship with the Zionist congress in Basel in 1897? Do the Protocols fall under the term Schundliteratur? In detail he explains the questions in his letter, wich was sent to the experts. The reports of expertise have been sent to the selected experts and also the files were accessible. Fleischhauer explained that he might need more time for preparing everything as he was appointed later than the other experts and that it will be hard for him writing his expertise on such a short notice. He further complained that he did not have access to all of the files from the trial, but Meyer explained that he has as much access as he wants, he only needs to come to Switzerland. Meyer denied to sent any files to Germany. In addition reactions reagrding the expert reports and witnesses can be seen.
