This sub-series contains all case files of immigrants processed by JIAS within the given period. Information in a typical file includes correspondence between the immigrant (or potential immigrant) and the Jewish agencies involved in the immigration process to Canada. Files include the client's place of origin and family information. Content analysis of a sample of 50 files out of an estimated total of 3,100 has been provided in the descriptive list of articles in the Finding Aid. These files are arranged numerically, corresponding to the chronological sequence in which files were opened. Family names have not been included in the finding aid to protect the privacy of the clients. These files may include vital personal data on the client
