Analytics of Central -Verein Policy in Germany
1 online resource (21 pages)
The file contains an analytics conducted by the Central Association of German Citizens of Jewish Faith entitled as Analytics of Central -Verein Policy in Germany. The analytics is mainly concerned with the period which view the rise of that peculiar type of political and totalitarian antisemitism identified as Nazi antisemitism. Among other things, the analysis deals with the topic areas: to understand the 'enemy' - Who do you fight and how do you fight, as well as with political strategies and antisemitism in Nazi Germany in general. A chapter called 'The End of liberalism' describes the foundation of the Central Verein, the policies, ideas and strategic concept it has been shaped by. Furthermore it describes the changes in German society after the first World War and the significant changes and antisemitic signs the Central Verein, among others, missed and ignored. The analytics continues to explain the two waves of organized political anti-antisemitism in Germany. Antisemitism, so they thought, could be fought by spreading knowledge and removing anti-Jewish discrimination in the legislation of the empire and the various federal states. In more detail the historical and political development of Germany is described. Before 1933 the Central Verein documented Nazi activities and issued anti-Nazi materials. During the Nazi era, the Central Verein was forced to change its name several times. From 1936 onwards it was called"Jüdischer Central Verei" (Jewish Central Association).
