The book"Mit brennender Sorg" was published in 1946 and contains various letters from Reich Church Ministers, Cardinals and the Pope. In terms of content, the first eight letters deal with the situation of the Catholic Church in March and April 1937 respectively. The ninth chapter contains the Pope's address to the College of Cardinals in June 1945. In the tenth and final chapter, the editor discusses the encyclical and its historical contexts, thus rounding off the work.
