[Carl Schmitt documents - Correspondence on Schmitt's dismissal]
1 electronic resource (10 pages)
The file contains a notification, a letter to [Hermann] Göring and two versions of a letter to [Paul] Körner, which slightly vary in content. The notification and the letters to [Paul] Körner bear stamp saying"Der Reichsführer SS. Der Chef des Sicherheitshauptamte" (National Leader SS. Head of the Main Security Office). The letters are signed with a typewritten"Heil Hitle", but no personal signature. The notification says that in the course of the mission against Schmitt the attached letters are put forward. The letter to [Hermann] Göring claims Schmitt is a growing threat for National Socialism and gives reasons for that, Schmitt has already been unseated by [Hans] Frank from all his posts in the Nationalsozialistischer Rechtswahrerbund (National Socialist Association of German Legal Professionals) and the Akademie für Deutsches Recht (Academy of German Law). The notification is given particularly with regard to the fact that Schmitt is Prussian Privy Counsellor. Both versions of the letter to [Paul] Körner announce the background story regarding Schmitt will be attached as a letter to [Hermann] Göring. An article from the"Schwarzer Korp" (Black Korps) is mentioned and additional evidence against Schmitt - 10 notes on what he wrote, said or did. The first one claims Schmitt is harmful for the image of National Socialism abroad. [Hans]Frank announced Schmitt's resignation from all his posts of the Nationalsozialistischer Rechtswahrerbund and the Akademie für Deutsches Recht. The end of the letters differs on the subject of how to make Schmitt resign as Prussian Privy Councelor, whether to involve [Hermann] Göring or not. The second one mentions an compilation of the complete material against Schmitt to be ordered and shown to [Hermann] Göring. The second one is shorter and has handwritten remarks and crossed-out sections, especially the last two about Schmitt's resignation.
