Písemnosti Předsednictva ministerské rady z let 1918-1942 a jeho pokračovatele Sekretariátu předsedy vlády z let 1942-1945 byly uloženy v archivu Úřadu předsednictva vlády a v letech 1955-1956 předány Státnímu ústřednímu archivu v Praze (dnes Národnímu archivu).
The papers of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers from 1918-1942 and its successor, the Secretariat of the Prime Minister from 1942-1945, were deposited in the archives of the Office of the Presidency of the Government and in 1955-1956 were handed over to the State Central Archives in Prague (now the National Archives).

The most extensive part of the collection consists of materials from the general files, which passed through all departments of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers between 1918 and 1942. Files relating to the organization, activities and legal status of the Jews, for example, are related to the issue. In addition, extensive files containing anti-Jewish measures during the occupation (boxes 3414-3422), regulations on Jewish emigration from the Protectorate and on the property situation of Jews (box 3801), and legislative measures of the German authorities concerning the disposition of the property of Jewish religious communities (box 3777) can be traced.
Nejrozsáhlejší část fondu tvoří materiály z všeobecné spisovny, které procházely všemi odděleními Předsednictva ministerské rady mezi lety 1918-1942. K problematice se vztahují např. spisy týkající se organizace, činnosti a právního postavení Židů. Dále lze dohledat rozsáhlé spisy obsahující protižidovská opatření za okupace (kartony 3414-3422), úpravy židovského vystěhovalectví z protektorátu a majetkových poměrů Židů (karton 3801), legislativní opatření německých orgánu ve věci dispozičního práva s majetkem židovských náboženských obcí (karton 3777).

The fonds was organized according to the filing system established in the Office of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. All the different parts of the fonds, which differ from each other in terms of the type of material, the storage system and their size, are kept within one fonds and arranged in order of their creation and duration and according to the structure of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
Fond byl uspořádán podle ukládacího systému zavedeného v kanceláři Předsednictva ministerské rady. Všechny jednotlivé části fondu, které se od sebe liší jak druhem materiálu, tak i ukládacím systémem a svým rozsahem, jsou ponechány v rámci jednoho fondu a řazeny za sebou podle doby vzniku a trvání a podle struktury Předsednictva ministerské rady.

After the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic in 1918 and after the establishment of ministries and the government, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers was also established. The Presidency of the Council of Ministers (in practice more often referred to as the Presidium of the Council of Ministers) ensured the uniformity of the legislative and administrative activities of the various ministries.
In the context of the occupation, the competences of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers became increasingly limited and the office lost its importance. The Bureau of the Council of Ministers was abolished by government decree of 15 January 1942. The Prime Minister's Secretariat was set up to deal with the matters that remained reserved for the Government and the Prime Minister, but it was responsible for only a small part of the activities of the former Bureau of the Council of Ministers and had mainly a clerical and technical function.
Po vzniku Československé republiky v roce 1918 a po zřízení ministerstev a vlády, bylo rovněž zřízeno Předsednictvo ministerské rady. Předsednictvo ministerské rady (v praxi častěji označované jako Prezidium ministerské rady) zajišťovalo jednotnost legislativní a správní činnosti jednotlivých ministerstev.
V souvislosti s okupací se kompetence Předsednictva ministerské rady stále více zužovaly a úřad ztrácel na významu. Předsednictvo ministerské rady bylo zrušeno na základě vládního nařízení z 15. ledna 1942. Pro záležitosti, které zůstaly vyhrazeny vládě a předsedovi vlády, byl zřízen Sekretariát předsedy vlády, který zajišťoval jen malý úsek činnosti bývalého Předsednictva ministerské rady a který měl především jen funkci kancelářsko-technickou.
