The envelope contains information (newspapers quotations, reports, statistics) about the living condition of the German working class in Nazi Germany. After the outbreak of World War II, living expenses such as housing, food and clothing rose sharply. This worsened the situation especially for the working class. Furthermore, a decree issues in 1939 abolished all pay for overtime, night work or work on Sundays and public holidays. In addition, with the destruction of the various independent trade unions, workers were no longer able to organize themselves. Workers also lost the right of free speech, the right of assembly and the right to strike.
