Most of the poetry is dedicated to the Jewish life in Bessarabia (now part of Moldova) and Ukraine (see poems: Bessarabia, Doyna and Zhok, poetry: Broha, Sidur, etc.) and to the heroism of Jewish soldiers during World War II.
