This group, also known as the Polish Peoples Army, welcomed Jews into their ranks. An estimated 1,700 Jews were killed fighting for the Gwardia Ludowa. This army supplied small arms to the Żydowska Organizacja Bojowa (Jewish Fighting Organization), during the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. The GL never integrated with the Armia Krajowa."@eng .
