"[Zoltán Vági, László Csősz, and Gábor Kádár, The Holocaust in Hungary. Evolution of a Genocide. Washington, DC: AltaMira Press–USHMM, 2013.]" . "Jewish Councils in Hungary were bodies of Jewish representatives forcibly created by the Nazis and their Hungarian collaborators to carry out restrictive and genocidal measures against the Jews. Along with the Central Council of Hungarian Jews some 150 local Jewish Councils were set up in Hungary in the spring and summer of 1944. They operated for only a few weeks and ceased to exist as soon as the deportations started. There was only one exception: the Budapest (Central) Jewish Council, which existed until the liberation of the Budapest ghettos in January 1945."@eng . "Zsidó Tanács"@eng . .
