In addition to information included in a previously recorded testimony (HVT-2442), Mr. F. recounts attending public school; joining Betar; his bar mitzvah; working in a munitions factory in 1933; his father's arrest and deportation in 1942 (he was killed in Sachsenhausen); being beaten so badly in Wulkow that his teeth were knocked out; transfer to Schnarchenreuth; liberation from Theresienstadt by Soviet troops; assaulting his fomer housekeeper's daughter (she had spit on his mother before their deportation); assistance from UNRRA: marriage to a survivor whom he met in Deggendorf; and his daughter's birth.
