rico:generalDescription "Originals records (mostly carbon flimsies) were created by the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in New York and Der Leitende Oberstaatsanwalt bei dem Landgericht Hamburg. These records were collected by Ignaz (or Ignatz) Riess and apparently passed on to Daniel Segal, his grandson. Photocopies of some of the originals were apparently made by Mr. Riess or Mr. Segal, and these photocopies are included in the donation together with the originals. Mr. Segal sent the documents and document copies to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Collections and Acquistions Department Jun. 1992, together with some artifacts. That department retained the artifacts and transferred the documentary material to USHRIA the following month."@en ;
