The envelope was donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2001 by Lucian W. Kempner, Lorraine H. Kempner, Hans Kempner, and Therese Kempner, the son, the daughter-in-law, and grandchildren of Robert M. W. Kempner.

Envelope addressed, stamped, and postmarked. Is accompanied by original letter (2001.62.10a).

Rectangular paper form with opening along one side creating an envelope. The front has writing in black ink located within the bottom two-thirds. Top right corner of front has four postage stamps. Two are yellow-green in color, are turned vertically, “60 C” and “Nederland” written on to lines. The other two stamps are gay in color and have “5 C” and “Nederland” written on two lines. A postmark stamps are visible on the stamps and the envelope. Verso has writing in black ink located in the top center section. Tape and adhesive residue is also found along the flap edges.
