Silver cigarette case etched with an image of a gazelle jumping over chimney stacks by an internee who gave the case to Polish-Jewish sculptor Alina Szapocznikow while she was imprisoned at Bergen-Belsen. The case was given to the donor by the widow of Roman Cieslewicz. Cieslewicz was married to Szapocznikow before her death in 1973.

Rectangular, silver cigarette case with rounded edges and a continuous left hinge. The lid and base are etched with an image of a gazelle jumping over chimney stacks and an image of building structures, respectively. The silver interior is engraved in the lower left corner of the left plate and there is an elastic band fitted into the right plate.
