I am giving this legacy in memory of my parents, my brother, my sister, and the rest of my family who perished so senselessly at the hands of the Nazis. But not only my family perished: over 16,000 people from my city and the surrounding small towns and villages perished as well. It is also in memory of their lives that I leave this legacy. I once promised my mother, who stood so helplessly against the machine guns holding her children, that if I ever lived I would fight forever so that evil would never happen again to our people, to any people, to no people.
