Mrs. Grubman-Lifschitz was born in Łódź, Poland, she was imprisoned in the Łódź ghetto, transported to the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, and then to the Ravensbrück concentration camp. On April 25, 1945 she was taken on a rescue transport to Sweden via Denmark, circa May 2, 1945.
