Alfred Elbau completed the diary and autobiography translation in 1988. From internal evidence, the speech was written ca. 1988 or after. The materials were donated to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Collections Division along with artifacts. The Collections Department transferred the manuscript portion to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives on Apr. 9, 1990.
