rico:history "Rudolf Mayer (1903-1962) was born in Vienna as a son of Gustav Mayer, a pioneer of Austrian film newsreels. Rudolf's brother, Adolf “Adi” Mayer, who took over his father's business, renaming the company in 1938 to “Adi Mayer’s Filmbüro” (advertising and culture films). Adolf also worked as a cameraman for the “Deutsche Wochenschau”. The company remains family property and is today (2015) Austria’s biggest advertising film producer.
