Nathan Szpiro (1908-1983), Polish-born Yiddish actor and singer, joined the Polish Armed Forces in the East after the outbreak of World War II. Postwar, he entertained in DP camps before emigrating to Israel; he later settled in Canada. The song"Vu ahin zol ikh geyn" (Side B, Track 2) is often referred to as the"DP Anthem" Spiro AA 10086 R (1955). Natan Szpiro, vocalist. Orchestral Accompaniment.
