Two performances of"Memoria" Op. 118 by Anatol Vieru (1926-1998). Vieru composed"Memoria" in 1990 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Iasi pogrom of June 1941. 1) 0:00-16:32 by the Orchestra del Studio Radio-Bucharest; conductor: Ludovic Bacs. 2) 16:54-end by the Israel Sinfonietta Beersheba; conductor: Mendi Rodan (also a survivor of the Iasi ghetto). Places, dates and venues of performances unknown. 

This cassette tape may have been transferred to the music historian by USHMM staff, Radu Ioanid. 

Romanian composer Anatol Vieru was a survivor of the Iasi ghetto.
