Arie Eshkoli, born Leon Grappa, originally of OstroĢw Mazowiecki, Poland, worked for the underground before being arrested in 1939 and shipped to a Russian labor camp. He was released in late 1940 and fought with the Polish Red Army. He participated in the liberation of the Majdanek concentration camp and worked for the post-war Zionist movement before immigrating to Israel in 1947. Also includes audiotapes of the original interviews with Mr. Eshkoli."@en ;
