Alexander Pechersky article

Alexander Pechersky was born on February 22, 1909. In October 1941, as a captain in the Red Army, his unit was captured during the Battle of Moscow and imprisoned. He was in several work and concentration camps before being sent on September 18, 1943, to the Sobibor extermination camp. On October 14, 1943, Pechersky led an uprising in the camp, escaping in the woods. He survived the war and returned to the Soviet Union, where he was imprisoned in a gulag. He was released after the death of Josef Stalin in 1953 and spent the rest of his life there, passing away on January 19. 1990.

Consists of a typed onion skin copy of an article, in Russian, written in 1955 by Alexander Pechersky, related to his memories and experiences at Sobibor and during the Sobibor uprising. Pechersky inscribed the copy to Masha Rolnikaite.
