The family originated from Danzig, then moved to Berlin, prior to emigration, and may have been the family of Julius Jewelowski (1874-1951), a political figure in the Free City of Danzig who was arrested by the Nazis after the German takeover of the city in 1939, and who subsequently fled to London, where he lived the remainder of his life."@en ;
