Contains identification documents, including an Austrian birth certificate, an application for US immigration visa, a US quota immigrant visa document, a"Kinderauswei" (child identity card), a US immigrant identity card, all issued to Hans Ament (donor's brother). The family was unable to successfully emigrate despite receiving US visas, and Hans went into hiding in an orphanage in Izieu, France. He was arrested during a raid of the children's home in 1944, and deported to Auschwitz.
