Source of acquisition is the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (AJJDC)(Jerusalem, Israel). The Geneva office records are the records of AJJDC's European Headquarters office, which, in the aftermath of World War II, was located in Paris. When AJJDC’s Geneva office opened in July 1958 as AJJDC’s European Headquarters, these records were transferred from Paris to Geneva. After JDC's Geneva Office closed in 1977, these records were shipped to the AJJDC Archives in Jerusalem. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Archives received this collection via the United States Holocaust Museum International Archives Project in March 2016.
