Jeannette"Je" Hahlo (circa 1886-1988) was born in New York to Henriette (b. circa 1863) and her husband and had one sister, Sylvia (b. circa 1888). Prior to the war Jet worked as a translator at the Metropolitan Opera House. Immediately following the war Jet served as an interpreter for the U.S government during the Nuremberg trials.

The collection includes a post-war letter and diary kept by Jeannette"Je" Hahlo during her time in Germany where she served as an interpreter with the United States government during the Nuremberg trials. The diary consists of transcribed correspondence written by Jet to her sister, Sylvia Hahlo.
