Collection of 36 photographs pertaining to Sadie Rigal's experiences during World War II. Included in the collection are photographs of dancing scenes, dance practices, and a trip to Berlin to perform with Edith Piaf and Charles Trenet for French POWs.
Sadie Rigal was born in South Africa but moved to Paris, France during World War II, where she was a cabaret performer in the Bal Tabarin nightclub. She was interned as an enemy alien but released. She began to perform again under the name"Florenc" with her partner Frederick Apcar, who helped her avoid the authorities
