rico:history "Victor Wieruszowski was arrested in Breslau, Germany, (now Wrocław, Poland) after Kristallnacht and was imprisoned in Buchenwald concentration camp without being charged with any crime. He was held at Buchenwald for six weeks and then released as a result of his wife's continuous efforts and his World War I military service. In July 1939, eight months after his release from Buchenwald, the Wieruszowski family escaped to England.
