rico:history "Raymond Holt Fadner was born on March 23, 1917, in Humbird, Wisconsin, to Amelia and Henry Holt Fadner. He had a brother, Lawrence, and two sisters, Elizabeth and Vivian. In 1921, Raymond’s family moved to Laurium, Michigan. He graduated from Calumet High School in 1935. In 1939, Raymond graduated from the University of Minnesota, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. After graduation, he was awarded a two year fellowship toward a graduate degree in business administration. In 1940, he moved to Washington, DC, to work as a statistician for the Civil Service Commission. He then was employed by the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA) (1943-1947). Raymond later was employed by the Department of Interior Bureau of Reclamation until his retirement in 1984.
