The manicure scissors were used by Helene Reik while she was in the ghetto in Terezín (Theresienstadt), Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic) during the Holocaust.

Two long rectangular forms that flatten into blades at bottom and curve into rings at top; blades are slightly curved at ends; two forms are held together by metal screw;"C.D" enclosed by circle is engraved near screw.
