The Folger Shakespeare Library discovered this collection in their files in an envelope marked"Found in Bindery, May 1972" They surmised that the collection belonged to a deceased staff member, a native German named Robert Lunow, who was the bookbinder at the Folger from 1948-1971. Richard Kuhta, the Eric J. Weinmann Librarian of the Folger Shakespeare Library, donated the collection to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum on Jan. 4, 2007, with the assistance of the Head of Collection Information Services of the Folger, Jim Kuhn.
