Consists of materials related to the experiences of Thea Lange Spiegel, originally of Danzig, Germany (Gdansk, Poland). Includes wartime letters from Thea, who went to England in 1939 on a Kindertransport, to her mother and sisters, who were interned in Mauritius after a failed attempt to emigrate to Palestine in 1940; post-war letters to Thea from her mother and sisters in Israel; two copies of"Diskretion..Ehrensache", published by the Jakob Lange (Thea's father) publishing house. Also includes a copy of a memoir entitled"A Free World? No Concentration Camp, but Behind Prison Wall" by Josef Deutsch, a refugee who was also interned in Mauritius.
