The Elmer Rothermich letter consists of a nine page letter with an envelope, written by Elmer Rothermich on April 10, 1945, in Germany, describing his experiences liberating the Ohrdruf concentration camp as a member of the 81st Field Infantry Battalion of the United States Army.
