His brother Shlomo perished at Ponary. Their cousin, a rabbi in “Valoshien“ was murdered in Vilna (Vilnius, Lithuania). Their friend or relative Siegfried Mendel survived the Warsaw ghetto, Treblinka, Auschwitz, and Dachau.
