The letter, sent by Halina and Ferdinand Birnhack to Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Beckenstein on 08 April 1949, expresses thanks for assistance and explain their need for clothing and food. The Birnhacks were"adopte" by the Beckensteins through B'nai B'rith. The letter also describes the Birnhack's plans for emigration to Israel.
