William Oudegeest (Willem Johannes, 1903-1991) was born in Utrecht, Netherlands, and his wife Mies Oudegeest (Maria Elisabeth Dingler, 1912-1991) was born in Beverwijk, Netherlands. The couple participated in underground movements during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. They immigrated to the United States and settled in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The William and Mies Oudegeest interview consists of audiotapes and transcripts of an interview with William and Mies Oudegeest relating their participation in underground resistance during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands and their hiding of Dutch Jews. The collection also includes a photocopy of a letter from a Dutch couple named Menleman describing the care required for their daughter.
