Jacob Maltiel-Gerstenfeld memoirs

Jacob Maltiel-Gerstenfeld was a native of Lwów, Poland (Lviv, Ukraine), and a survivor of the Holocaust. He escaped Nazi persecution by fleeing to Romania where he lived under the assumed identity of a non-Jewish man. He immigrated to Palestine at the end of World War II.

The article includes detailed information on the dispersal of Maltiel-Gerstenfeld's relatives who eventually perished in the Lvov ghetto, his activities as a Zionist youth, his life in Romania under an assumed identity, and his emigration to Palestine at the end of World War II.
