In the memoir, she describes growing up with family in Sniatyn and Kolomyja, life in the Kolomyja ghetto, a failed attempt to escape to Romania, and escaping from a moving deportation train outside of Majdanek. She returned to Kolomyja and obtained Aryan papers. In the fall of 1942, she traveled to Germany as a forced laborer, hiding her Jewish identity. She was liberated in 1945 and was able to emigrate to the United States in January 1947."@en ;
