rico:generalDescription "The original documents were created by various agencies of the Slovakian fascist regime during World War II and eventually became part of the archival holdings of the Muzeum Slovenskeho Naradneho Povstania (SNP) in Banska Bystrica, Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia). Photocopies, which were apparently prepared and assembled by SNP archives personnel, were sent to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Collections and Acquisitions Department together with a set of artifacts loaned by SNP to United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, but the photocopies are not listed on the loan agreement, signed on 25 Jul 1991. Jacek Nowakowski, Director of theUnited States Holocaust Memorial Museum Collections and Acquisitions Department, turned the copies over to United States Holocaust Memorial Museum ca. Nov 1991 and indicated that they were\"ours to keep\" In response to an inquiry by the accessioning archivist, Michele Leopold of the Collections Department provided a copy of an English translation of the loan agreement, and indicated that she had no additional information about the circumstances of the acquisition except that it came through Jacek Nowakowski."@en ;
