The commemorative medallion was retreived by PFC David F. Busch, an American soldier who was stationed in Europe during WWII. It commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Leipzig-Dresden railway, April 24, 1937.

Circular terra cotta colored clay medallion with an image of a train one onse side surrounded by the words"Leipzig-Dresdener Eisenbahn 100 Jahre" The other side has an eagle and swastika surrounded by the words"24 April 183" and"24 April 1937"
