rico:history "Joseph Ansell (1949-2006) was born in Bethesda, MD. He obtained an undergraduate degree in art in 1971 from Knox College in Galesburg, IL, and an MFA from George Washington University. An accomplished miniaturist painter, Mr. Ansell was a professor of Studio Art and Art History at the University of Maryland, Georgetown University, Otterbein College, the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston, and Auburn University.
