July 7, 1930) and Rachel (b. March 27, 1939, later Kurz). Jacob was born in Frankfurt am Main to William Herzberg (1851-1924) and Karoline Birkenruth Herzberg (1855-1896). Jacob had a sister named Helene and a brother named Julius (b. 1894). Jacob served in the German army during World War I. Margaret Bloch was born in Sankt Johann an der Saar to Leopold and Amalie Bloch. She had four siblings: Liesel, Hans, Max, and Siegfried. The Herzberg family immigrated to the United States aboard the SS President Harding in September 1939."@en ;
