(This was not the only such train.) Although some items were pilfered en route, the U.S. Armed Forces captured most and stored them in a warehouse in Austria. U.S. personnel and agencies pilfered (or “borrowed” without returning) further property, and the remainder has been the subject of complicated litigation.
