Rectangular paper currency. On recto, a green background with white text with a blue decorative border with the numerical denomination 5 in red square on point, in lower right corner. In the upper left corner is medallion with a bust of a male soldier in black. Below the medallion is a lightning bolt design in red. There is a sailing vessel depicted in red at the upper right. On verso, a red decorative motif with blue text and 9 medallions arranged in a diamond pattern. Two of the medallions represent the denomination; 7 are of various insignia, chiefly Nazi party symbols.
