Book and folder: records of the hospital laboratory in the Dachau concentration camp. Recorded in book and on separate pages contained within the folder are last names of victims interned in Dachau and records of their blood and urine work. The book, which dates November 30, 1942 - April 7, 1943 is labeled on cover"Häftl.-Revier Laboratoriu" [prisoner laboratory area]. The folder bears pink label imprinted"SS Hauptsanitätslager Aeusserlic" and stamped"Häftl. -Revier Laboratoriu" and contains loose pages, dated August 21, 1942 - December 4, 1942 recording the same information. Occasional dates inserted with cross indicating victim's death. Included in folder are additional documents including American Army document indicating book and folder were transferred May 5, 1945 from"G-5 to JA (War Crimes" and subject is"Experiments on Prisoners of War at...Dachau" Additional date of May 11, 1945 adressed from Dan [Melcher] to Ben [Melcher] indicating he brought (or sent) these items to his family in the United States. Dan was stationed overseas with the US Army.
