During the German occupation, the family was compelled to share the house with a German soldier who occupied one of the rooms. A separate topic was a ghetto in the town, hiding and exposing information about Jews. The woman recalls the Ukrainian underground in Zolochiv, which was active when she was a teenager: random meeting in the town, the stories of hiding the rebels, and the firing squads. More detailed were the testimonies about the post-war life, the lack of food, repressions and exiles, forced eviction of the Polish population and the relocation of Ukrainians from Poland.
