rico:history "After the Second World War, the Swedish war-time refugee policy was debated, and a state expert commission (YK 984), led by former Minister of Foreign Affairs Rickard Sandler, was set up to investigate the activities of the Swedish Security Service and Sweden's refugee affairs during the war. \r\n\r\nIn addition to Sandler, the Sandler Commission included the Social Democrat Georg Branting, Gunnar Hedlund of the Agrarian Party, the Liberal Gustav Mosesson, and Ivar Sefve of the Conservative Party. The commission presented its reports, criticizing the Security Service and reporting on complaints against its actions. \r\n\r\nThe commission archive is preserved in the National Archives in Stockholm (Marieberg). Copies of documents submitted to the commission are also in the archive of the Jewish Community in Stockholm in the National Archives in Täby, in volume no E 2: 12. "@en ;

The series Personakter till anmälningsdiariet (F: 2) contains 390 files containing reports and other documents with information about refugee cases reported by aid organizations and private individuals because they were treated incorrectly by the authorities when they tried to come to or stay in Sweden as refugees. Many of these were Jews. There is an index of the files in volume C: 1. A selection of the reported cases is also summarized anonymously in the commission's report (SOU 1946:36).
