Many Jews from Dorohoi ask to be reunited with their families in Transnistria. A note relative to the situation of the Jews in the district Golta mentions the following: some time ago,1,000 families from the district were sent to Akmecet on the Bug and housed in pigsties, without water and food.  As a result 960 of them died. Recently the prefect ordered that over 3,000 Jews from the district, deportees and local, to be sent to the same place, i.e. to sure death (October 14, 1943).
