        rico:scopeAndContent    "De geïnterviewde werd geboren op 20 februari 1916. Hij was Joods en probeerde om die reden vanuit Rotterdam met de boot naar Zweden te vluchten. Hij werd echter gearresteerd en kwam in Westerbork vanwege zijn juridische achtergrond bij de Antragstelle te werken. Hier konden Joodse gevangenen een verzoek indienen voor uitstel van transport. Hij kreeg voornamelijk te maken met zogeheten afstammingszaken. Dit waren gevallen waarbij Joden wilden aantonen dat ze geen Joodse grootouders hadden. Hij vertelt hoe hij soms deze mensen ter wille kon zijn. Hij vertelt verder over een kindertransport dat hij heeft zien vertrekken. Ook de bevrijding en zijn huwelijk in kamp worden in dit interview besproken. Zijn verhaal staat in relatie met twee andere geïnterviewden binnen dit project, namelijk de interviews RG-50.570.0001 en RG-50.570.0005. The interviewee was born on 20 February, 1916. He is Jewish and tried to escape for that reason to Sweden, by ship from Rotterdam. However, he was arrested and came to work in camp Westerbork because of his legal background with the Antragstelle. This was where Jewish prisoners could file a request for exemption from deportation. His main job concerned the so-called (racial) descent cases. In these cases, Jews tried to prove that they didn’t have Jewish grandparents. He explains how he was sometimes able to help these people. He also talks about a transport he saw depart with children onboard. He also discusses the liberation and his marriage in the camp in this interview.
