Alhoewel Hans Shlomo in Westerbork kon blijven, ging hij vrijwillig met zijn verloofde en haar familie mee met het laatste transport naar Theresienstadt op 4 september 1944. Hans Shlomo werd verder gedeporteerd en overleefde de hel van Auschwitz. Alie werd, tezamen met 1200 andere joden, vanuit Theresienstadt via Duitsland in februari 1945 uitgewisseld voor medicijnen die het Rode Kruis voor de Duitsers beschikbaar had gesteld. Ze kwam in Zwitserland terecht. Na de oorlog hebben Alie en Hans Shlomo zich in Israël gevestigd."@nl ;
